I work as a consultant for one of the big 5 firms implementing SAP applications. What is the job code referenced for this job? I want to know the job category it falls under as per the Dictionary of Occupation Title or the O*Net published by DOL. My company did not provide me this information but any help will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you get the EVL in the same title as in your LC .Whatever is your title is currently not relevant to GC since GC is for future employement not for current employement what you perform.

Started this thread just to encourage us after oct bulletin:
We know that unless a bill is passed (SKIL), retrogression issue cant be solved. It is not an easier task to accomplish but a task that needs more courage and efforts. Each time when we see the visa bulletin with no movement in dates, we feel more depressed but we should always remember this, no matter how many times we fall or pushed back, our goal is to get up and move with more strength. Now everyone is going through tough phases of life in one way or the other. This is not new for us, we have dealt this type of problems before.
As people say: "good things will happen to those who wait". Our team efforts (in IV), our hard work and prayers will definitely move the mountains. All we need now is faith and patience so that we can put focussed efforts to pass this SKIL bill by end of this year. Soon we will find ways to achieve this.

can you share more details about your case?
Priority Date: Nov 2004 (EB3 - India)
Labor certification approved - march 2007
Applied I140 and I485 concurrently during the July 2007 fiasco (July 17th 2007 ... to be precise)
Used Cross-chargeability and crossed to EB3 ROW, so my priority date became current
I140 approved: Sept 08
GC Approved: Oct 08.
I dont know if cross-chargeability matters, but the main thing is that when my I485 was approved in Oct 08 the processing time was still showing June 2007 (roughly first week of june 2007), which is more than 1 month behind. And also the processing time was stuck on june 2007 for few months.

Best part will be
- Convert into F1 just before 6 month or 1 year before she completes her study. U must pay for international fees ( if approval comes after semesteir start then for that semester u will pay in-state fee)
- It will enable her to pursue opt and make a way for converting to H1B
For OPT
- at the time of filing she must be in F1
- She should have full time student for 1 year ( not necessarily F1 for 1 year)
I did the same thing for my wife.

I too need some help: last time my fingerprint check took almost 8 months (!) and I gave one set of them again today. Can somebody assure me that they will comeback before the dates become U again. My 485 app was received on July 18 at NSC, no checks cashed yet. EAD/ AP recieved on Aug 10 at NSC, got RN for EAD and AP. Is there a possibility of getting EAD card, even if 485 was not filed? One of my freinds was under the same situation, and she and her spouse got the EAD from TSC, without 485 filing.

Remember, if you leave US before AP is approved, you cannot use it to return back to US. On the other hand, if its approved and if its postal delay, and you left right after it got approved, then you can make arrangement to send it to you overseas and use it to enter US.

Thanks for your reply. The lawyer did suggest that we could go for EB2 but I did n't know if it would be good idea. The reason I ask is when I look at the visa bulleting EB2 priority dates have retrogressed rather badly when compared to EB3 priority dates. I have been hearing rumors that EB3 might move faster than EB2. I am confused by why the priority dates for EB2 is worse than EB3. Could someone explain?

You will just need the AP for yourself but make sure you return before the expiry date of the AP and not the I-94 any issued or stamp in the PP. For the baby you can use 1 of the 3 options available - Visa/PIO/OCI. Hope this is helpful.

I had filed labor in June 2008 and as per the attorney they havent received any update from DOL. I had requested my employer/attorney to atleast send a screenshot of my status and they say cases that old are hard to pull up on DOL website. Is it really that hard with DOL to login and see the status as compared to USCIS? For my comfort I requested them to send me a screenshot and I am getting stiffed even on that! Can you please answer if attorneys can login to DOL and see the status of any PERM applicant? In this age of electronic media a department as big as DOL doesnt even provide updates to applicants/firms to view their statuses?

1) I agree with all who are asking you to quit and get your H1-B transfered, but my concern is whether your H1-B is still valid or not as your I-140 has been revoked or is still in consideration.
You can search for a company and file for a transfer and can still stay with this company till you get an answer. You can hold multiple H1-B's at the same time.

I have seen people talking about getting approvals with misdemeanors, but each case may be different. Murthy.com forums has a special section for people dealing with misdemeanor issues and have gone through the process, may be you will get some more tips about preparing for the interview there. You can just drag and drop the icon you want into Blend or explicitly add it via the Projects panel :)
Your question on connecting to an XML data source is interesting because there are several ways of doing this. One approach is by using Linq and just parsing the output.

I�m mostly using Expression Blend to create these apps.
The first thing I would like to know is:
* How do I use a wp7 icon (from the icon pack) as a clickable button? I have an input search TextBox, but instead of using a simple button control (for the click event) I would like to use the magnifying glass icon as the search button --something similar to how Bing (on WP7) uses the mic in the search box. How can I accomplish this?
